The Outsiders In the novel The Outsiders the character I chose was Ponyboy. Ponyboy was a sincere kid but he has just unmatchableness problem, he is a greaser. The greasers are a gang that no one really likes. They are the under privileged poor kids. They draw one major rival gang, the Socs. Socs stands for socials, they are the complete work gear of the greasers, they are the rich kids. One daytime afterwards Ponyboy and his star grayback took two Soc girls bug out to the movies, they were walkway home when basketball team Socs jumped them. The Socs were mad at them for taking their girls on dates. Bob (one of the Socs) was rough to drown Ponyboy in a fountain when Johnny unconnected it and stabbed him. The Socs ran and so did Johnny and Ponyboy. subsequently this incident happened they ran to a church outside of town. One day the church catches on fire. Johnny and Ponyboy save the kids that were playing in the abandoned church . Johnny pushed Ponyboy out of the church right as the roof caved in cleaning Johnny.
